The National Cathedral, in her aim to nurture biblically and deepen spiritually the life of her congregation, has launched the “Sunday Bible Study Series”. The program was headed by the Program Secretariat as it was part of its 2009 Plan of Action for the Ministry Education and Worship (MEW).
The Bible Study Series was designed to be conducted per sector every Sunday, wight after the 8:30 mass and with at least two series per month. The first series for the Women and Youth Sector was conducted jointly on June 7, 2009; while for the Laymen, it was conducted on June 14, 2009. Both were led by Rev. Fr. Henry Janiola.
The topic of the first series was “A Breath of Life”. It aimed that at the end of the session, each participant must : 1) have a full grasp on Bibllical Foundation of human life being borrowed from God; 2) to appreciate the mystery of God’s breath of life to humankind; and 3) to live a life worthy to the sight of God.
The second series was conducted on June 21, 2009 which was participated by all sectors (Laymen, Women and Youth), with the topic, “Go and Multiply”.
The Program Secretariat, headed by Rev. Fr. Henry Janiola, together with the representatives from each sector (President and Secretary) is trying their best to make each and every session more interesting and fulfilling. Innovations in the flow of the Bible Study are expected to be introduced in the next series. Coffee and snacks are likewise made available to the participants during the program. The National Cathedral Council encourages everyone to join.
Let us make our Sunday more meaningful and blessed. Come and join the National Cathedral Sunday Bible Study Series!
Note: You are not precluded from joining other sector’s schedule if you failed to attend any of the series in your sector.
