Headed by its President Mr. Alvin A. Loyola, the Youth of Iglesia Filipina Independiente (YIFI-NC) organized a SPORTS FEST at the National Cathedral with the theme, “PALAKASIN, PATATAGIN AT PASIGLAHIN ang kabataan ng Pambansang Katedral.”

The Sports fest was formally opened last August 9, 2009 and will culminate in October 2009 during the celebration of the Month of the Laity. Games are scheduled every Sunday right after the 8:30 Mass
The activity is being participated by the chapters of the YIFI-NC who are able to organize a team, such as Antique, Marinduque, Romblon and Valenzuela-Romblon. Among the games that will be participated in are basketball, Volleyball, Chess and Table tennis. Chapters who have not organized a team for ballgames because of limited membership, may participate to the other games, like Chess and Table Tennis.
The YIFI-NC believes that by having this activity, they can focus on consolidating membership, promoting active participation and enhancing spiritual commitment among the ranks of the YIFI-NC. Likewise, the activity will also give venue for fellowship, bonding and solidarity and to further strengthen our camaraderie and unity to work for the success of the organization.

All youth of the IFI from the different provinces residing in Metro Manila are welcome to participate in this activity. Just look for Mr. Alvin Loyola or any officer of the officers of the YIFI-NC at the National Cathedral.
